What can I say?  Incredible live music. Lovely food, drink and company.  Always a good time. Dreaming of my next trip...

A lovely pub for authentic fish and chips and mince and tatties. Pretty empty on Monday evening but a steady stream of regulars popping in for a pint or dinner. I would certainly recommend this cute pub.

This was a surprise. The Park Bar hit it out of the park!

I came across this pub on the way to Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum. It's more for football/soccer fans. But still welcoming. For a Sunday afternoon, there were a few patrons, but not many.

The lunch menu was really cheap - 2 meals for £11!  You can't go wrong. The fish and chips were perfectly cooked. Not too deep fried. The fish didn't taste frozen. I wish there was more tartar sauce, but there were a variety of other sauces on the table. It also comes with a drink.

There's TVs and sports memorabilia everywhere. Washroom could be cleaner. But everyone is friendly. Most importantly, the food is good.

This pub is exactly what I needed after a 20 hour travel day. The atmosphere is like a traditional pub, but upbeat. Not just the old men in for a pint, but not just the young turks in for a tear. Traditional music playing live in the corner only added, as it was in-amplified so it didn't become intrusive. A bar full of people, having a pint and talking. Footie on the telly in the corner, but felt like a courtesy, not a focus.

And on top of all that, the fish and chips was absolutely perfect.

Staff was very friendly and helpful, conversational but not overbearing or underwhelming by turn.

Inexpensive, yet fantastic food. Typical pub fare.  Try the apple crumble with custard as well! Yumm!
